Kostas Sarikas is currently a Defence Correspondent  for AlphaTv News Department.

He joined the 1 st   ranking Greek TV station in April 2002. He started working as a news  journalist in 1996 for Greek public television ERT. Since then,he covered everyday social stories .Moreover he covered big stories in Greece and all over the world. Some of the stories he has attended and covered: Athen’s Earthquake, Turkey’s Earthquake, Afganistan’s war, Ex Yugoslavia’s war, London’s metro bomb blasts, Hellios airplane crash, Saminas shipwreck, Mati’s fire tragedy. Since 2016, he covers  Defence News and has been accredidated to Greek Defence Ministry  for AlphaTv. He has attended and covered all Greek and NATO defence activities in Eastern Meditteranean area. Kostas Sarikas graduated from Mass Media and Communication Department at the University of Athens.He speaks English fluently.

He is married and a father of a 15 year-old boy and a 13 year-old girl.His free time practices karate lessons-1 st  dan degree, running, hunting and fishing.
